Cloth. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. Not Stated Ilustrador. First edition. A bright first edition, first impression of Martin Amis's darkly humorous comedy of manners. The first edition, first impression of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Library stamp to the verso of the title page. Sir Martin Louis Amis (1949-2023) was an English novelist, essayist and screenwriter, best known for his novels 'Money' and 'London Fields'. He received the James Tait Black Memorial Prize for his memoir 'Experience'. This clever dark comedy was Amis's second novel and is a parody of Agatha Christie's country-house mysteries. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is very smart, except for bumping to the top corner of the front board. Remnants of a library bookplate to the front free end paper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean apart from the occasional handling mark. Library stamp to the verso of the title page. A little shelf wear to the tail of the spine to the dust wrapper, which is otherwise in excellent condition. Very Good. book.
