Paperback. Condición: Very Good. Pillows, bolsters, afghans and throws are the core of this collection of home accessories from the archives of Knitter's Magazine. New companion pieces round the 25-plus projects into collections that season a room or the entire house. One-size-fits-all rarely works - even in interior knits - so many pieces can be knit in a range of sizes. Choices for color and fiber are even more varied: yarns ranging from easy-care to luxury blends to organic, fit all budgets and priorities. A special section helps in planning alternate color schemes. Clear illustrations encourage the knitter to try a new technique or an easy finishing option no-sew pillows, throws that you can (they look good on both sides), fool-proof washing and storing of knits. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Paperback. Condición: Very Good. NEW IN PAPERBACK Within this compendium, the very first knitting books have been translated from sketchy, often inaccurate instructions into richly coloured, exciting patterns for modern day accessories. This blend of history, mystery, and hands-on technique debunks myths about Victorian life as it inspires beginners and ambitious knitters alike. Included are instructions for Victorian lace, as the Victorians never saw it - in glorious detail, up close and on location in and around Cambridge. The lace patterns progress from the first, most basic, edgings to the sophistication of "real" lace. Forty patterns are included - scarves and shawls, capes, and fichus - with comprehensive information on the tools and techniques of lace knitting for beginners and enough challenges to keep experienced or ambitious knitters engaged. Delicate and decorative, historical lace patterns are within the reach of today's knitters in this book of adventurous ideas with a vintage touch. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Trade Paperback. Condición: Very Good. Goodson, Rose Mary - Art Ilustrador. Eighth Printing Stated. 250 Pages Indexed. A fine book with very light wear to cover edges and corners. No marks or stamps. Interior text pages are flawless. This book is the story of Deadwood, North Dakota's infamous Boot Hill and some of those buried there, including Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock. Illustrated on most pages with vintage photographs, maps, contemporary photographs by Al Gunther, and drawings by Rose Mary Goodson. This is the author's first book and it began when she decided to write a pamphlet about Mount Moriah, the Deadwood Boot Hill and Cemetery and some of its inhabitants. She began researching the Record Book of the Deadwood Cemetery Association, its libraries and museums, and in Mount Moriah itself. She interviewed pioneers, historians, and knowledgeable residents of Deadwood and the area. The author has said she gathered so much information that she was forced to write a book instead of a pamphlet. Contents in Four Parts: History of Deadwood and Its Two Boot Hills, Vignettes of the Big Four (Hickok, Calamity Jane, Preacher Smith and Potato Creek Johnny), Vignettes of Pioneers and Notables, and Epitaphs. Plus Bibliography.
