Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very good. First edition. Annecdotal biography--not the scholarly work the author had intended because of Salinger's court action--but highly readable. Some light spots on top page edges. Spine and part of rear panel of dust jacket are sunned, but lettering is still bright.

Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing - with the number line starting at '2', as required for Random House publications of this period). 8vo. 222pp. Purple cloth, lettered and ornately ruled in silver at the spine, and in pink at the upper board. Top edge very lightly spotted, else a fine copy in fractionally marked and toned price-clipped dust wrapper. A biography of the famously reclusive Salinger, who took legal action to prevent publication and succeeded in denying Hamilton the right to quote or paraphrase his letters. Hamilton's resulting frustrations are quite splendidly incorporated into the finished work.
