"A gently elegiac exploration of our many blind spots..." --The Hooded Utilitarian "A devastating story that resonates in the subconscious" -Publishers Weekly "As well as creating a darkly comic, moving and well-observed narrative, Pearson's drawing style is sometimes familiar and cute but at others deeply unsettling." --Design Week "Everything We Miss is Luke Pearson's breakthrough graphic novella, in which he brilliantly wrong-foots your every expectation, fluttering between surreal humor and deep pathos and proving the unique visual-verbal alchemy of comics to capture the ephemeral and symbolize the rawest emotions." --Paul Gravett, editor of 1001 Comics To Read Before You Die "This mix of fantastical and real, of frivolity and heartbreak, that's what gives Everything We Miss that little bit more. Without them, it would still be an excellent but downbeat read. With them, it becomes sublime, pitch perfect - heartbreak and a smile, surreal yet grounded, poignant and absolutely true - it captures everything you've ever felt about love and loss, about everything you've missed." --Forbidden Planet Blog "Luke Pearson's Everything We Miss from Nobrow is a remarkably mature follow-up to his all-ages debut, Hildafolk." --John Martz "Pearson, it turns out (as it was meant to turn out, Bokonon reminds us!), is a magician. He's the kind of illusionist who pulls back the illusory veil of reality to show us what we might have seen for ourselves if only we were awesome." --Good Ok Bad "A gently elegiac exploration of our many blind spots..." --The Hooded Utilitarian "A devastating story that resonates in the subconscious" -Publisher's Weekly "As well as creating a darkly comic, moving and well-observed narrative, Pearson's drawing style is sometimes familiar and cute but at others deeply unsettling." --Design Week "Everything We Miss is Luke Pearson's breakthrough graphic novella, in which he brilliantly wrong-foots your every expectation, fluttering between surreal humor and deep pathos and proving the unique visual-verbal alchemy of comics to capture the ephemeral and symbolize the rawest emotions." --Paul Gravett, editor of 1001 Comics To Read Before You Die "This mix of fantastical and real, of frivolity and heartbreak, that's what gives Everything We Miss that little bit more. Reseña del editor:
Luke Pearson's latest comic book is, as the title suggests, a compendium of the things that we happen to miss when something else seemingly more important comes along. Luke Pearson, a recent graduate of Loughborough University, has contributed to a number of comic anthologies in the UK as well as self-publishing a number of small-run homemade comics. Hildafolk was his first book for Nobrow Press.
