Reseña del editor:
This is a collection of my blogs that are not concerned with what we call, "Truth". You will have to decide what truth is for yourself. Here you will find thoughts, hopefully provocative thoughts, that may give rise to even more thoughts. We shall visit astral thoughts provoked by astronomy, we will visit time and space and more from yet another perspective. Our world is loaded with thoughts about an extraterrestrial force that has some measure of control over us and addresses an after-life. As though a secular state of affairs with judgments and punishments were not enough to control humanity we have found one or more supernatural forces to assist throughout time in this accomplishment. With seemingly no limit to religions in our Universe,– many of which may have strayed from original philosophical thinking, I offer yet another that could be a hybrid between the two, yet one not of this world. For many reason I find this to be a refreshing intellectual excursion. NOTE: The material on the Introduction to A Course in Miracles and the one to follow on Christianity and ACIM - A Dialog were syllabus’ I wrote for classes facilitated by Terese Bontempo and me based on ACIM and a dialogue between Kenneth Wapnick and Father W. Norris Clarke. As you might guess, the author is a long time student of “A Course in Miracles”
Biografía del autor:
From the age of seventeen he worked on bombers, serving four years in the US Air Force. Upon discharge Staff Sergeant Walmsley, with a desire for more challenges became a police officer in New Jersey. The next quarter of a century he experienced many things while moving through his career, finally retiring as deputy chief of police, a rank he held for several years until retirement. Graduating from college with honors he received degrees in Liberal Arts and Science. They were heavily weighted in the behavioral sciences. Every class he took found him looking for the way it could serve his aspirations for writing. Classes in creative writing, philosophy and literature peaked his interest for the most part, driving his desire to further understand people and events. He thought he might enjoy writing short stories, not having the patience for novels. Police work left little opportunity for the metaphors, simile and the creative expressions of fiction. Upon moving to Florida he attended Professional Writing classes spurring his interest on and helping to provide even more of the tools necessary to approach such a career with serious intentions. The learning process never ends and as he moved through the publishing world, joining with many others, his world was changing. Creating emotions in others while entertaining them became his desire even more so than ever before. A broader interest entered his inquiring mind and led him toward metaphysics and even more quests for spiritual adventure. Spending a fair amount of time in this arena helped to produce much thought that opened yet another avenue for intellectual intrigue broadening his understanding of the world he lives in and more importantly - the world that he didn’t. During those years his studies had begun on “A Course in Miracles”. He studied under several facilitators as well as attending the Academy in upstate New York, taking instruction from Dr. Kenneth Wapnick. For about five years George facilitated two courses: ”An Introduction to a Course in Miracles” and “Christianity and A Course in Miracles - a Dialog”. Both syllabuses were submitted to Dr. Wapnick at the academy for his insights and blessings in 1995. http://miracles-illusionsandtheworld.net
