Rita in Wonderworld (First Young Puffin S.) - Tapa blanda

Rita and her brothers and sister go to Wonderworld and Rita is soon dumped in the "Chicks' Nest Play Area". But, determined not to spend the day there, she changes into her Rescuer's outfit and gets to work. She helps a little boy who can't steer his Bumper Bug, sets Victor the Viking back on his tightrope, rescues Eddie and Jim from a huge spider's web, saves Jenny Jones from drowning, catches a thief dressed as a gorilla, and makes sure everyone has a memorable day in Wonderworld. Her rewardis the promise of free entry to Wonderworld for life.

Hilda Offen was born in Surrey and spent the first part of her life on an entirely self-sufficient small-holding. She studied at Reigate School of Art and became a freelance illustrator, working for magazines and newspapers. She later took an English degree at University College London. Hilda now writes and illustrates children's books and teaches in colleges. She won a Smarties Prize for NICE WORK, LITTLE WOLF! Hilda lives in Brighton.
