Haunted by the picture of a marriage basket she saw at an exhibition, Lynn Andrews was driven to track it down and make it her own. Her journey took her to the wilds of Canada, where she became apprenticed to Agnes Whistling Elk, a medicine woman.There she learnt the mysticism and wisdom of the tribe and became a huntress and a warrior. Her quest was a journey of self-discovery, which meant leaving behind the trappings of civilization to become one with the often terrifying natural world. Through an ever-deepening knowledge of Heyoka wisdom, she learnt to trust her instincts, to live by her wits and to understand that being a woman was the greatest power she possessed.

Lynn Andrews live in southern California and devotes her time to writing, lecturing and teaching on the medicine way.
