A competition was launched with the publication of Centuries of Stories in September 1999 to find fresh young writing talent in the 11 to 16 age group. Fourteen winning titles were selected for this book by Wendy Cooling from over 600 entries. Written in a variety of genre; humour, horror, fantasy, romance, tragedy plus a sprinkling of magic and mystery, all aimed at the 11+ age-group.
